The obvious objection

“My bank app already shows my spending.”

It shows what left your account. It has no idea what you bought — and it has never seen a single cash purchase.

How it works

Three steps, and two of them aren’t yours

Seconds per receipt. You hold the phone for exactly as long as it takes to take the photo — everything after that happens without you.

Photograph the receipt

Straight from the camera, or drop in a PDF. Paper slip or e-receipt, it is the same flow.

AI reads every line

Merchant, date, VAT, and each item with its own price — not just the total at the bottom.

Categories fill themselves

Every line lands in your category tree. You review the result instead of retyping it.

What it adds up to

Thirty-eight receipts later, the month has a shape

Every tile below is drawn from item-level data. A bank app cannot draw them, because it never saw what was in the basket — only what left the account.

On the fortieth receipt

Recognition is the easy part to demo and the hard part to live with

What decides whether a tracker survives the second month is not how well it reads the first receipt. It is what happens to the ones it read badly.

Correction

Edits that survive a re-scan

Fix a line and it stays fixed. Re-running recognition asks first whether to keep your edits.

Accounts

Cards and cash in one picture

Several banks plus the cash in your pocket, each in its own currency, all on one dashboard.

Control & privacy

No bank logins. Optionally, your own AI key.

Both are deliberate. We read what you hand us, and from Extended upwards you can decide which provider does the reading — and pay them directly.

No bank logins

We never ask for your bank password

No account aggregation, no read access to your statements, no open-banking consent screen. FinTracks sees the receipts you hand it and the entries you make.

Bring your own key

Choose the AI, pay it directly

From Extended upwards, connect your own OpenAI, Anthropic, Google or Grok key. Recognition runs through your provider account and spends no credits at all.

Your account

Two-factor, an audit log, and a delete button

Second factor by authenticator app or email code, an activity log you can read line by line, and account deletion you run yourself without writing to support.

Pricing

One credit ≈ one recognised receipt

Charged at what the recognition actually cost, minimum one credit — not a rounded-up scan quota.

Card payment is still being switched on, so paid plans cannot be bought yet. The free plan works in full — five scans a month, no card. Start there: once payment is live, you can change plan from your account without losing anything.

FAQ

Straight answers

What is a credit?

Recognising one receipt usually costs 1 credit. Long or low-quality documents and premium models cost more — you are charged the actual AI cost, with a minimum of one.

What happens to credits I don’t use?

Monthly credits roll over on Extended (1 month) and Max (2 months); on Free and Restrict they reset. Credits bought as top-up packs stay valid for 12 months from purchase.

What is BYOK?

Bring Your Own Key: connect your own OpenAI, Anthropic, Google or Grok API key from Extended upwards. Recognition runs through your provider account, bills to you directly, and spends no credits.

Do you connect to my bank?

No — deliberately. There are no bank logins and no statement imports. FinTracks works from your receipts and the entries you make by hand.

Your receipts already know where your money goes.

We just read them. Five scans to find out, no card required.
